The House
Built in 1946, the house was originally located on East Mulberry Street in Mankato then added on to in the 1970’s. The hospital purchased the property for future expansion and we moved the house to Lake Crystal in 2022, set it on a new foundation and gave it a new life. It was quite the whirlwind process!
Now located on the shores of Crystal Lake, the home is fully furnished with everything needed for a memorable and relaxing stay.
The Environment
Working with the Crystal Waters Project and Aqualogical Resources to landscape in a way that is good for the lake, pollinators, and the environment. A number of native plantings can be found around the patio and along the trees by the lake. The lawn is cared for naturally and no pesticides or herbicides are used to ensure we’re not harming the environment or the people who stay in our vacation home.
The People
We’re the Tidrick family and we hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do. Our full time home is on a 10-acre farm in Iowa where we raise pastured and organic fed pigs and poultry, but we love spending time in Lake Crystal with family. You'll notice little pieces of our farm throughout the house - handmade soaps, seasoning blends and even feathers from our peacock, Carl.
